​Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Simply Kitts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation created to support the Kayleigh “Kitt” Van Hassel Memorial Scholarship Endowment at the Kansas City Art Institute. Our mission is to supply small mid-year scholarships to fill in the gaps left by ordinary financial aid and to assist traditional illustration students with the costs of End of Year Projects. We issued our first set of scholarships in January 2023.

All profits from sales of Kitt’s artwork, yearly FaceBook fundraisers, biannual art shows, eBay auctions and third party sources such as Redbubble.com and TeePublic.com are forwarded to Kansas City Art Institute specifically for the endowment.
